Women's Padel Club Apparel: Fit, Skorts and Sample Approval

Build a coordinated women's court collection around real member needs, approved fit and a practical sample process.

Published · KITSPAN Buyer Resources

Quick answer: what should a club approve first?

Before ordering custom women's padel apparel, agree the target wearer, product mix, finished garment measurements, fabric, club colors and branding. Then approve physical samples as a complete outfit: check the top during overhead reaches and rotation, and the skort or shorts during lunges and lateral movement. Confirm the size set and record any changes before collecting final member orders.

A women's club range needs its own fit decisions. Reducing a unisex size does not establish the required shoulder shape, torso length, waist, rise or coverage. Offer the bottoms your members actually want, rather than assuming every player prefers a skort.

Choose a focused range for players and coaches

Separate member purchases, coach uniforms, tournament requirements and pro-shop stock. They can share a club identity while using different products, quantities and fits. The Padel Club Apparel & Merchandise program connects these buying situations.

Begin with one top and one or two bottom options if that matches confirmed demand. Add accessories after the core fit and cost are understood. Use the club retail collection guide to control assortment complexity.

Approve the top as part of the outfit

Record shoulder width, chest width, body length, armhole depth and hem shape against a marked measurement diagram. For a sleeveless top, agree the neckline, back shape and desired undergarment coverage. Size labels alone cannot describe these choices.

During the fitting, ask the wearer to raise both arms, rotate through an overhead stroke and lean forward. Record whether the hem rides up, the armhole restricts movement, the neckline shifts or seams feel uncomfortable. Try the top with the intended skort or shorts so the waist overlap is reviewed in movement.

A coach polo and a player tee may need different fit references. Review the performance T-shirt development route and specify the required women's pattern rather than assuming an existing reference meets the brief.

Compare skorts and shorts using member feedback

For a skort, approve the outer skirt and inner shorts together. Define skirt length, inner-short rise and inseam, leg opening, waistband and the way the two layers connect. State how each measurement is taken. If shorts are preferred, confirm rise, inseam and leg shape independently of the skirt option.

  • Test whether the waistband stays comfortable during bends and lateral steps.
  • Check coverage during lunges, reaches and the ready position.
  • Check whether the inner shorts ride up or pull against the outer skirt.
  • If a ball pocket is required, use an actual padel ball to assess access, retention and its position during movement.
  • Ask about phone storage separately; a phone pocket and a ball pocket serve different needs.

Document member preferences without treating a small fit group as representative of the whole club. Keep alternative fits or lengths visible in the development brief when demand justifies them.

Specify fabric by evidence and intended use

Confirm fiber composition, knit or weave construction, fabric weight, stretch direction, recovery and hand feel for each garment. A coordinating top and bottom do not have to use the same fabric. Compare the actual materials and finished samples before approving their appearance together.

A visual fitting does not establish a certified performance claim. If the brief requires quantified moisture management, UV protection, colorfastness or other performance, agree the test method, acceptance criteria and supporting report before making that claim.

Keep club branding consistent across different materials

Give the supplier vector artwork, logo dimensions and placement measurements for each item. Review colors on the actual fabric and decoration method: a printed court top and an embroidered coach polo should be approved separately. Do not approve a full collection from one digital mockup.

Compare the customization options against the garment construction. Confirm whether decoration crosses seams or stretch areas, and check the reverse side for wearer comfort. Keep a dated approval file for each product, color and artwork version.

Use a written sample approval sequence

  1. Confirm the brief: define the buying groups, garments, intended fit and delivery requirement.
  2. Review development samples: assess measurements, fabric, movement, coverage and construction. Record corrections with photos and measurements.
  3. Approve the size set: check more than one size where needed; a single base-size sample does not validate the entire size range.
  4. Confirm decorated samples: approve the actual club colors, logos, labels and care information.
  5. Sign off the production reference: retain the agreed sample, specification, acceptance limits and packing instructions before releasing bulk production.

For remote approval, request measurements and clear front, side, back and detail images. Video can help review movement, but the club should arrange physical fit approval where possible. Do not replace an unresolved fit decision with a mockup approval.

Collect orders only against approved product references

List each member's chosen top and bottom separately, including product code, color, size and any personalization. Do not require the same size label for both pieces. Distinguish confirmed purchases from forecast retail quantities and reserve stock.

Use the Padel Club Size & Ordering Guide for the roster and the size exchange planning guide for member deadlines and exchange rules. Agree reorder conditions and possible material or shade differences before promising future matching stock.

Send a brief that can support a useful quotation

Your women's padel apparel brief should include:

  • Club, delivery country and required arrival date.
  • Member, coach, tournament and retail use cases.
  • Top and bottom references, preferred coverage, pockets and fit.
  • Approximate quantities by product and color, with the size range.
  • Fabric priorities, club colors, artwork and logo placements.
  • Sample requirements, labels, packaging and planned approval stages.

MOQ, sample costs and timing depend on the exact style, fabric, color, decoration and quantity breakdown. Review the Padel MOQ & Sampling Guide and confirm the proposed route before taking member payments or committing to an arrival date.

Frequently asked questions

Should every member order the same top and bottom size?

No. Collect the top and bottom selections separately against their approved measurement charts. A member may need different sizes for each piece.

Can a club offer both skorts and shorts?

Yes, the brief can include both options. Confirm demand and the minimum quantity for each style, color and material before splitting the order.

What is the most important sample check?

Approve fit and movement on the intended wearer, then verify measurements, fabric, coverage and decoration against the written specification. An attractive photo alone cannot approve these points.

What should the club retain for a reorder?

Keep the approved samples, measurement charts, fabric references, color approvals, artwork, labels, packing instructions and production notes. Confirm availability and any changes before the next order.
